MSS Designs and Implements a Shipping Process for a Global Manufacturer

Challenge:
Develop a shipping process to cost effectively allow a medical device manufacturer to receive components from its vendors without damage, and then utilize the same process to ship the finished product. 

 

Description:
Design a shipping crate with a specialized base that the vendor utilizes to transport the partially fabricated device to the manufacturer. The manufacturer then finalizes construction of the device, utilizing the base as a foundation for the crate walls. 

 

Process:
The specialized bases, initially delivered to the vendor, serve a dual role as both a fabrication and shipping a platform. Once received by the manufacturer, the bases again serve as a fabrication platform and then ultimately as a foundation for the ISPM certified crate walls.

 

Results:
MSS Precision Crating provided a solution for our customer to successfully produce and ship over 25 high-value imaging machines per week to a global client base.
