MSS has been recognized by the Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com as one of the top 100 places to work in the Delaware Valley region. MSS was favorably ranked based on survey responses provided by MSS employees. The news organization announced the “Top Workplaces 2012” in a special section of their March 18 publication; MSS ranked among companies with less than 150 employees.
“This is the third year in a row that our company has been chosen and it is quite an honor, especially for me,” said President and CEO, Timothy Hughes. “I’m fortunate that such an incredibly focused and dedicated group of people not only like working at MSS but love coming in to serve our customers each and every day. I want to thank all of my associates at MSS for all they do. And who says you can't pick your family. In the case of all of our employees, I think I did just that!”
The 2012 Top Workplaces distinction is earned through employee survey results. The anonymous surveys were conducted by a third party to encourage employees to be candid when responding to statements such as, “I feel genuinely appreciated at my workplace,” “My manager listens to me,” and “My pay is fair for the work I do.” Approximately 90% of all MSS employees chose to participate in the survey, listing a number of reasons for loving their workplace, including the “great benefits package” and “flexibility to balance work and personal life.” One respondent stated:
