Featured Project: Crating Skill for de Tocqueville

June 05, 2019

Straight from the archives: our friends at Laran Bronze in Chester, PA, one of the world's premier foundries in fine art castings, approached the Precision team to crate a special historical monument of Alexis de Tocqueville. Is that name familiar? Paging high school history lessons! The famous Frenchman wrote one of the most influential books of the 19th century: Democracy in America, a classic work of political science, social science, and history.

This cast bronze statue had to be laid down on its back in a fairly elaborate cradle system for safe transport. No big deal for the Precision crew who once again applied creativity and flexibility to another unusual project!
