A Time for Education, Reflection, and Action
As we celebrate togetherness by beginning to reopen our communities, our country is in the midst of an incredible shift. We want each and every one of our team members to know that we stand with them in the fight for justice and equality. We know we aren’t alone in saying the last week has been spent doing a lot of educating and reflecting.
MSS is committed to fostering an inclusive community within our four walls and beyond—and we are here to listen and learn. In order to help push for positive changes, we will pursue opportunities to make a direct impact in our community and we’re collaborating with our team as we do so.
In the meantime, to our community at large: be well and stay safe.
When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family. Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world. - Author Unknown
