With over 15 years of professional Human Resources experience, Phil joined MSS in 2003. He began as Human Resources Associate and grew into the roles of Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Manager, and finally Director of Human Resources. He has demonstrated success in recruitment, retention, organization effectiveness, employee relations, training/development, compensation, benefits, and diversity. Phil pursues innovation and new ideas to support and progress our company values and business needs. He is passionate about creating and implementing best practices to attract and retain the best talent.
Phil graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and from Gwynedd-Mercy University with a Master of Science degree in Business Management. He graduated from the Vistage Emerging Leader Program in 2020 and is currently enrolled in their Advancing Leader Program. Phil is also a career-long member of the Society of Human Resources (SHRM) group. He is the CFO and Board member of a non-profit called The Lukens Foundation, which was recognized by the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce as Non-Profit of the Year. Phil also won the MSS Extra Mile Award 2017 and Uncle Joe Spirit Award 2018. In his spare time, he loves spending time with his twin girls, traveling around the globe with his wife, trying new foods, and outdoor activities like basketball, camping, and kayaking.
