Making Spirits Soar this Holiday Season
We were grateful to have the opportunity to extend a helping hand this past holiday season, bringing the “MSS” spirit to life by M(aking)S(pirits)S(oar)!
Our first employee-led endeavor involved bringing holiday joy into the lives of young patients and their families at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). All employees, whether in the office, virtual, or hybrid, were able to participate in CHOP’s all-virtual toy drive. Our team came together to raise $855, which will be utilized by CHOP’s Child Life team to procure toys, books, and crafts—a continuous need throughout the year.
Shifting our focus to Better Days Ahead (BDA), a non-profit group that distributes aid directly to houseless and at-risk individuals in various regions, we learned of a unique and urgent situation. We amassed donations (including tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, and more) which will now be directed to an emergency Lansdale outreach close to MSS headquarters. This adjustment ensures that our contributions make an immediate and impactful difference in addressing the pressing needs of the local community.
And finally, we used a company-sponsored donation to purchase much-needed items in bulk for Montgomery County Senior Adult Activities Center. The SAAC was able to distribute the gloves, hats, scarves, and other winter accessories among their seniors. We value their commitment to enrich the lives of seniors in our community through diverse and engaging programming.
