Meet the Tech: Celebrating Women in Installation & Assembly

Happy International Women’s Day!

We’re spotlighting Jasmine, one of the talented women in our Pure Install technician network whose skill, precision, and problem-solving help bring installation and assembly projects to life every day. Professionals like her continue to raise the bar and bring fresh perspectives to the field.

Cheers to the women leading and paving the way for those who come next.

What first sparked your interest in hands-on or technical work?

I really enjoying making change, weather subtle or drastic. Most things that are hands on and technical require a certain skill or understanding and most always a form of transformation. There’s something really satisfying about taking something and improving it or bringing it to life through your work.

What surprised you most about entering this industry?

The unlimited knowledge. I love learning and growing. I get to work on upgraded models of products, different brands all together, really it’s exciting learning something new everyday. This field of work gives me so many opportunities to do that!

What skills have you developed that you’re most proud of?

Adaptation and problem solving. Being in this industry you need to be able to keep up, and be able to roll with the curves. I also really am proud of my abilities to work well under stress. Not always easy but I’m grateful I have that skill.

When did you first feel truly confident in your craft?

Well I’d say one day when I got a call from a gal on the east coast offering me a job based on the work she’d seen me do and the reputation I’ve been building. I take pride in my work and willingness to always grow.

What encouragement would you give someone hesitant to enter a male-dominated industry?

If you’re trying to decide on going into a male-dominated field, my biggest advice would be to focus on learning your craft and trusting your abilities. When you know what you’re doing and take pride in your work, that speaks louder than anything else.

You might run into people who doubt you at first, but consistency and competence earn respect over time. Don’t feel like you have to prove yourself by being louder or tougher than everyone else—just show up, do good work, ask questions when you need to, and keep improving.
